Year 7 Forms and Form Tutors September 2021
When allocating form classes, we have done so with both primary school information and with the potential to make lots of new friends in mind.
Whenever a student has come to us from a primary school with others, in the vast majority of cases, we have ensured that at least one other familiar face is in the same form class with them.
We do also have to be mindful that we have lone students from some primary settings and it is important that they also have the opportunity to mix, integrate and make lots of new friends too.
All students will make new friends within their form classes and as all students will quickly be placed into different ability sets for a range of different subjects this will provide even more potential for building new relationships with others.
At Oldershaw we endeavour to ensure that all of our students are happy in school – we know that this comes with a large and diverse friendship group and with our experience of providing lots of positive social mixing opportunities.
